Katherine Bernhardt (American, b. 1975) is a young artist who has garnered an impressive reputation and following among collectors worldwide. Known for her expressionist portraits of models ripped straight from fashion magazines, Katherine Bernhardt paints from the perspective of an obsessed fan - with a directness and energy that is straight out of a can. Prior to her current series, Katherine Bernhardt's paintings focused on abstraction, incorporating landscapes, modernist architecture and collage.
