Lisa Ruyter (American b. 1968) is a true child of pop art - by way of Warhol's infamous paint-by-number works but more importantly, her use of color, the everyday, and her graphic sensibility. Ruyter's bright, oversaturated canvases have created a vast following in both New York and Europe, where Ruyter lives and works.
Lisa Ruyter has had numerous solo exhibitions, including Team Gallery, Leo Koenig, Inc., Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, Arndt & Partner, and has been included in group exhibitions at Busan Biennale, Museum Folkwang, Essen, Germany, MoMA and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
