Artist Statement
"Those early picture making experiences taught me to accept,

and even welcome the accidental things which happen as I work

and to allow my painting materials and painting process to set the

program. Only when I’m commissioned to do a painting similar

to one I’ve previously completed, do I have an agenda

in my technique or color choices. Most often, I show up in the

studio and wonder what image will emerge that day."
