Artist Statement
"I create dynamic pieces of art that interact with the viewer. My work is designed with color and movement to draw the viewer in creating an environment for reflection and wonder.

Many of my pieces reflect architectural forms that exist in different cultures; these forms contain fundamental shapes. I play with color, texture, opacity and translucence to personalize each piece. Other pieces reflect natural forms and patterns. My inspirations are global. I have always been inspired by the rawness and simplicity found in the African and Native American cultures. The Asian culture has been a rich source of material for me as well. Some of my more recent work has been a result of experiencing the earthy, dense colors and natural textures of the Pacific Northwest for the first time.

Some artists who have inspired my work, were Alexander Calder, Wassily Kandinsky, Joan Miro', Gio' Pomodoro, and Antine Nivola.

I have been a resident of Washington state since 1998. I have worked intimately with a variety of Northwest glass artists on many different projects. I steadily exhibit my sculptures in Europe and the United States. I have been involved extensively in all aspects of glass art for over 20 years. Over the years I have developed my own unique art style using different glass media."
