Walter Lockwood’s fine art imagery has won numerous awards and been selected by curators, galleries, and group shows internationally. Recently and among others, Walter’s series “Sukiyaki Western” was featured in a solo show at HAUS Gallery in Pasadena CA and became a finalist in the 2008 Photo Lucida Awards. Lockwood's work has been auctioned at “Art Seen 3” to benefit AIDS research, an event juried by Howard Fox, Curator of Contemporary Art, LACMA, featured in the group show “Accessorize” at the Los Angeles Art Association curated by Peggy Fogelman, Director of Education and Interpretation for the Essex Peabody Museum, and shown at the London Photographic Association, London, UK.
Walter Lockwood was born in the District of Columbia in the 70’s. Being the son of a diplomat, Walter traveled the world as a child. He now lives and works as a professional commercial, editorial, and fine art photographer in Los Angeles. He received his BA in photography from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA after obtaining his BA in drama from New York University.
