Wes Timmerman began shooting 35mm in 1961. A local of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Timmerman has been enjoying the natural beauty of the area since the mid 1970’s. In 1982 Wes Timmerman began building images with the use of a large format, 4x5, camera. Inspired by the likes of Ansel Adams, Thomas Moran, Elliot Porter and the richly diverse group of local photographers in the Jackson Hole, Wyoming, region.

“Texture, pattern, rhythm, as well as composition are all contained in each of my images. It is my impression of the subject as well as the form that I present in each photo. Experiences in the National Parks, wilderness and rural landscapes are unique to all who engage in them and I think the subconscious seeks these places” -Wes Timmerman
